I was very surprised on how the plot was very character driven. It was something new for me to read. To me, I felt like there wasn’t much of a plot during the majority of the novel, however, it was still worth reading cause I loved the characters. The writing had a great voice. It made it an enjoyable read.


Scarlet is a retelling of the Adventures of Robin Hood, but as you can see there’s a bit of a twist with the characters. The beginning was slow. I couldn’t get in to it. I’m really glad I stuck with the novel until the ending. I don’t wanna give anything else; I might spoil it. And we wouldn’t want that would we?
